He said he was part of Antonescu's crew, I wonder what happened so he got to a fighting unit. He says he feels bad about the thousand lives he took
 I think it would have been difficult to do so even with a Ju88, ehh.. |

Iacob Ivanov was a board gunner in Gr. 6 bomb., flying Ju 88As. He certainly was not responsible for any human casualities the bombs dropped by the aircraft he was aboard may have caused.
The only victim he may have had was the pilot of a Soviet fighter, claimed as shot down on 27 July 1943. Gen. Dénes |

IVANOV V. IACOB a fost copilul lui VASILE si VICTORITA,nascut la data de 24 .03.1914 in VASLUI.Decedat in 2009 in Vaslui.In anul 1937 este brevetat ca tragator de bord(mitralior) la Tecuci.Incepe razboiul incadrat ca mitralior in Escadrila 17 Observatie.Este decorat pentru campania anului 1941 cu doua decoratii.Este selectat si trimis la un curs de specializare in Germania la Hamburg.Cind se intoarce in tara este repartizat la Escadrila 105 Transport.Face parte din echipajul JU-52 care il transporta pe Maresalul Antonescu pe front la Sarabuz in 1942,in Crimeea.Este decorat din nou cu doua decoratii rominesti.La cerere este trimis la aviatia de bombardament in 1943.Aici activeaza in rindurile Grupurilor 6 si ulterior 5 Bombardament greu JU-88.Este ranit de mai multe ori si chiar doborit.Este decorat de germani cu Crucea de Fier.Prin ordinul de zi 119 din 5.IX.1943 Ii este omologat un avion de vinatoare LAG doborit la data de 4.X.1943 la WALDORF in Ucraina.Deci are doua avioane de vanatoare sigur omologate.Au mai fost si misiunile lde la Stalingrad in Caucaz si multe altele.Am avut ocazia sa cunosc un om adevarat,cum putini mai sunt astazi.Dumnezeu sa-i dea linistea de care are nevoie.O MERITA CU PRISOSINTA.
