Hi guys,
Yesterday I had a 70 years old pacient from Silistea Snagov (known also by the name of Turbati). I asked him about ww2 and he told me an amazing story. While he was 5 or 6 (he cannont remember exactly) he was witness to a dog fight over his village. A drop tank fell over his father house and a german fighter made a belly landing on a corn field. The plane wasn't very dammaged but the pilot (who wore a beautiful leather jacket) was dead in the cocpit. He had been shoot on his right side and was covered with blood. Very soon some trucks came and took the pilot ,plane and drop tank. All took place around summer (because of the corn on the fields). Any detalis abou this incident? Pilot name, unit etc? Cammon guys,I know you have the knowledge, you have the technology.... This post has been edited by C-2 on July 16, 2008 07:22 am |

I don't get it. What was amazing in his story ? No details of a bloody fight just a belly landing with a dead pilot. This post has been edited by Cantacuzino on July 16, 2008 03:02 pm |

To have a fighter plane doing a belly landing in your corn field ,I find it amazing.
What is it so dificult to find the pilot's identity? It must have been from Jg 77 from Mizil. How many planes did fel in Silistea Snagov? |
