Yesterday, 1st aug, was the anniversary of the 1st Ground-to-Air Missile Brigade, now under command of general H. Oprea. They celebrated 35 years since this brigade was established.

As a footnote, the brigade bears the name of general Nicolae Dascalescu

Who were the commanders of 1th missile brigade in past years?
How many missiles and what type (Sa-2?) where fired by this brigade in december 1989? Alone in night 22/23 58 sam were allegedly fired by different units!?
Is any (former) air defense sentry, NCO or officer with us active at this forum, or does someone know one?
