Hi,
I have purchased this scope from a guy, who told me that he found it in the attic of his neighbors house. When he showed it to me it was very rusty, and at first glance I thought it might be a Russian PU scope or some weird PEM scope that I haven't seen before. So I bought it, as that. When I got home, I started to clean it very carefully removing the rust with a special solution. I was amazed to see written on the scope I.O.R after I cleaned it some more I discovered the serial number S 02362 and the magnifying distance L 4.5x28 So what do you think? is this I.O.R first model scope? I look thru the lens and the cross hairs are just like the German Carl Zeiss one... half of cross. Is this one of the scopes Romanian snipers used in World War 2 ?? Let me know. Dragos ,
Will you sell me the scope? I'll tell you all why. IOR (Intreprindere Optica Romana) is a name given by the comunists. The real name of the factori was the initial of the founders (Iepure,Onicescu,Rancan). The matematician Octav Onicescu was my mother's uncle. He died in 1981 age 92. I'm very interested in this piece of history! |
