I want to say it before someone else do: it is not an original IAR 80, I do not know why Mr. Tabara said so. I told him that Aviation Museum IAR 80 is not original.

Iosif Brudasca Bruder, from Av Cc, is still with us. Was comrade with Horia Agarici, and Popisteanu. Now he's over 90 years old. Wounded 2 times, on the Eastern Front and on the Western one.

Can you give us the date of these incidents? I could not find any entry in my ARR loss database. Esc. 114 was a liaison squadron, not a short range recce. Perhaps Esc. 14? Thanks, Gen. Dénes This post has been edited by Dénes on January 03, 2010 07:11 pm |

Denes, I'll give you what informations you want ASAP, but I must arrange another meeting with Brudasca. He has another name, Bruder or Broder. Maybe you can find something about it. In that time, please send me what you want to know, punctually. He's old man, his memory don't works so good. I regisered his stories, and don't insist about dates. You can send me your request on pm or published here.
Thank you |

Hello,
What I am interested in is the units he was flying in and the exact dates the accidents/incidents took place (if possible, including the aircraft's serial number he flew on those dates - these should be included in his logbook, or Carnet de Sbor). Same question regarding his comrades killed or wounded in action (like lt. Oprean Teodor). Does he still have any photos from the war, including the aircraft he flew? Thanks, Gen. I made him a phone call and I talked with his daughter, who said he is ill and can't talk. I'll look on my notes and on what I recorded earlier, to bring you the informations you need. I hope he will recover himself, to talk with him again. Now I'll give some other information about him, a little more specific. He trained one year on militar service (TR), in 1940, on IAR-38 and 39. The eveniments when he was wounded on Eastern Front were before 19 nov 1941. His Esc was near one of Vanatoare (where Horia Agarici was on duty). |

Does anybody knows when Clemente Muresan passed away?
I read his book, Printii vazduhului, ed. Dacia, 1996, and it was very interesting. |

We had a topic about him long ago.
He's a mistery. No one of the vets ever heard about him as far as I remember. http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=162 This post has been edited by C-2 on January 10, 2010 08:08 pm |
