On this older tread;
http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=1497&st=30 there is a French map on the Romanian advances in Budapest showing Allied (?) tactical symbols of light artillery and possible light Anti Aircraft guns. Does any one know what kind of guns these symbols actually symbolise? I have seen pictures of the 37mm Bofors M36 in Budapest but this is hardly counted to light artillery? Also do anyone know if the Romanian forces had any units in Budapest containing light tanks or armoured cars? Is there any chance of anybody having a bigger copy of this map where the symbols can be more clearly seen? Thanks //Vaki |

Hello,
If you are referring to the map posted by Dragos: http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?sh...indpost&p=25105, it isn't French, but clearly Romanian. Besides each artillery symbol is mentioned the respective unit: battalion of regiment. In only one case I see a battery is mentioned. R 9 A is short for 9th Artillery Regiment R 7 AG is short for 7th Heavy Artillery Regiment R 6 A CL is short for 6th Horse Artillery Regiment |
