A war veteran daughter gave me the permision to scan her ww2 pictures of her father and uncle.
I found interesting to show you what looks like a Puteaux antitank gun, This gun was destroyed in the Iasi Battle, in august 1944, at Rediu (?) - Tataru.

I will, surely. Her reward was a story published at the newspaper where I work.
We do what we can for our heroes...

The name of the hero vas sg. Virgil Vasu (first photo, first person from the right, in the "stand up" row), He was the canon commander and he was a peasant from Arpaşu de Jos (now Sibiu county), he died at Rediu Tătaru (moldova, near Iasi) in 1944. The legal owner of the pictures is Victoria Săbău from Sibiu, the niece of Vasu.
