Hey,
The helmet that you have its not a Romanian helmet but in fact it's a Dutch m34, fire brigade with crest on front. If the helmet was Romanian then the crest would have the sign of Carol II which is a double "C" and a crown. hope this helps. Dragos |

hi Dragos,
i know that this isn't a Romanian used military helmet. the creast is, as you posted different. i was just wondering if this could be a Romanian firebrigade helmet. the crest is egg shaped and on my point of view this is typical Romanian. the model is indeed m34 but i have never seen a creast on a dutch firebrigade helmet before. cheers, |

As far as I know, some m34 helmets were in use by the romanian fire brigades after the second world war but they were painted brilliant red inside and outside, had no neck protection and no crest.
Nevertheless I will check forward to see if the crest matches any insignia from the past years in fire brigades from Romania. |
