All I was able to determine is that he was an observer in a reconnaissance squadron during 1941. Does anyone have more details on him?
This is him in front of what appearsto be a Fw 58. |

04-jul-41 I.A.R. 39 90 Esc. 20 obs. adj.stag.pil. Mih. Baetan(u), lt. obs. Titus Bontea (alta sursa: lt. obs. Iosif Costescu), serg. Petre Galusca (alta sursa: sgt. Gheorghe Georgescu) Sapte Bani/S.Rascani lovit de aca german, AF, echipaj reintors pe jos.
Gen. Dénes P.S. Can you kindly ask Mr. Bontea to step aside of the Fw 58, so I can read the full Luftwaffe radio code? This post has been edited by Dénes on January 22, 2009 05:47 am |

The only match I found is CB+XL, a Fw 58C, which belonged to TSt Lfl. 6 in
September 1943. Gen. Dénes |
