Two crude style medals, Loyal Service;Medal for Manhood &Loyalty

Recently I found these two medals : Medal for Loyal Service ; Medal for Manhood and Loyalty. Never seen such a crude style. I'm positive these two are not forgeries or bad imitations, knowing the source where came. What is your opinion about these? Is that possible during the WW II someone could issued these bad models ?

These two medals appear to be metal detector finds. Ground dug relics.

Hallo Gents,

In my opinion these appear to be very poor cast copies, and not ground finds.

I have never seen a medals where the oval part of the disc is set so close to the swords as with the "Barbatie si Credintia" you have posted.



The detail around the leaves is very bad as well.

I took the liberty of highlighting your pictures, it shows the detailing is a poor casting from the start, full of pitting and a lot of flash around the edges of the leaves in B si C.





Perhaps you could add some measurements of the diameter of the medals?

Kevin, the size of these two is identical with the size of the "originals". Regarding you oppinion I disagree because I know from where I bought them and I'm positive they are not modern copies, not mention that the price was ridiculous. These two are piece of s... if you ask me, and are not worthy to stand next to other beautiful medals or orders. Beside that is quite intriguing who could manufacture them. I added an interesting model made by Resch.

I have seen cast made medals and badges that are what I beleive to be period originals. All show proper age and patina. I beleive these to have been made during the war and possibly in the field using pot metal. I personally don't think that someone would go to the extent of casting common medals for collectors as there is no money to be made. I aslo see that these items appear to be sand cast. Typical of field type casting methods. Modern day fakes use the jeweler form of wax casting.

Crown appears to be from one medal, Swords from another item and the medal a crude cast copy.
