I received it a couple of days ago and started reading it. A very interesting story.

To my surprise, in the endnotes I have found several articles from the worldwar2.ro site copied mot-a-mot. It is true that the name of the authors are mentioned ("dupa Dragos Pusca, Victor Nitu"), but I don't recall anybody from the Tritonic Publishing House asking for permission to use the entire article in this book.

The difficult question of copyright...
Those articles were translations or something like that? Or just your own oppinions? (In which case, you might try to sue them )

It is not a question of sueing. We aren't getting any money out of this website. It is just a question of common sense to ask for permission, which would have been given without a problem.

I wasn't reffering to money - not necessarily! But today's scientific world is ridden of plagiarism, so this fact goes beyond sueing or getting richer/poorer! It's about the fact (IMO) that everyone nowadays finds it much easier to copy/paste somebody else's work instead of doing a little thinking and writing on their own. This could be a nice topic, don't you think?

If whole articles have been copied then you have something there and you should seek some legal advice. Then you can decide whether it's worthwhile to pursue this further. Tritonic would most likely go ape if you would take pages out of their book and start posting them here. On the other hand you could ask yourself what answer you would have given to their hypothetical request. If it would have been yes with no other conditions then all is ok and you can only complain of lack of politeness from their part.

That's exactly what I am doing.

If entire articles have been reproduced I think you should at least contact the publisher/editor and confront him/her with that. I'm curious what would be the answer. In my oppinion, such practice should not be encouraged or tolerated.
