Hi there!
My name is Matthew Siemens and I'm from Canada. I'm 18 years old and my family is Saxon, originally from Transylvania. I've been trying to do some research into my Grandfather and his family, especially during WW2. I managed to find these pictures of his brothers. I'm wondering if anyone here could give me some insight on what they're uniforms say about where they fought. Other then these pictures I know absolutely nothing about them. Thanks so much!! The man from first pic is wearing civilian clothes, as they are still weared even today in Transylvania by old saxon or hungarian peasants.
The second and the third pic are showing romanian uniforms, as I guess, but not being specialist in uniforms, I might be wrong. |
