It's a Czech tank, no doubt. It may be one of the prototypes for trials before being admitted in Romanian Army service.

It is Czech Škoda T-21 tank, successor of LT vz.35(Romanian "R-2").
Hungary bought its production licence, and made midium tank Turán. It is very similar to Turán, but have angled turret rear and no side hatchs. |

And yet another tank ID question... is this a Romanian T4 ?
Many thanks (again), Alex PS - picture from my own collection, of course. |

Yes could be romanian Pz IV or T 4. But unfortunately we can`t see anny cross romanian or german, so we can`t say much.
Do you know anny details about the place picture was taken ? This post has been edited by ovichelu on September 14, 2009 01:17 pm |

Unfortunately no, but these guys sure do look like Romanian tank troops IMO.

Beside romanian troops, the type looks like an Pz IV- H or J model and the season looks like summer. 99% probability to be romanian Pz-IV on moldavian front in summer '44. This post has been edited by Cantacuzino on September 15, 2009 08:11 am |
