I have read on another forum that it's possible the new paint is incompatible with the old one then you can try stripping with strong adhesive tape.

Good job once again. Did you use again the good old cutter? Or the needle? wink.gif
Could you post some pictures with the two, "cleaned", helmets side by side? I would love two see them.

I did it once just that the paint was original and the adhesive tape came off together with some paint, so be aware! sad.gif

PS It was a Dutch helmet with original Romanian paint.

Yes I will put pictures when I will finish the second helmet.

I also tried stripping the paint with adhesive tape and it worked but I need a stronger one. The comunist paint is stripping off very good because it was very bad applyed.

It's very nice, looks ok to me, although I'm not a fan of online auctions as I can't touch what I'm buying.

The price seems ok to me; but as prices for Dutch helmets differ so much I can't be sure.

Claudiu don't be so upset. I am sure there are other helmets like this out there.
The militaria market in Romania is growing each day and I hope that auctions like this and militaria fairs are going to be held more often.
