Hello, I really hope you can help me,
I looking for informations about this two Romanian soldiers:

First is Romulus Apostolescu (the grandfather of my mother)
The only fact that I know about him is that he was the commander of the 102 Rheinmetall 37mm battery in Karpovka. He probably died in Stalingrad or was a russian POW.

Second is his brother Emil Apostolescu
I only know that he was a Lt. in the Romanian Navy and from your website that he was stationed in Sulina. He tried 1949 to escape into Turkey and was caught and condemned to 10 years in prison.

Thanking you in anticipation,
Calt

I have 95 % of the Romanian Adler series. I will search for a foto inside them. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable with "Aripi Romanesti" will look it up for you there.

I found an article about Apostolescu battery in Aripi Romanesti (nr 37 from 1943). I will look forward for his picture.
