Hi,
General de divizie Ioan Topor held the positions of “Mare Pretor pe lângă Marele Cartier al Grupurilor ale Armatei de Operaţii” (22 Jul 1941 - 1 Sep 1941) and “ Mare Pretor la Comandamentul Cartierului Grupurilor de Armate Operaţii” (20 Sep 1942 - 9 Nov 1942). Could someone please give a translation for these posts - my understanding is that it is similar to Judge Advocate General, but I would appreciate an exact translation. Best regards, VJK |

He was the chief of the gendarmes (military police) of the 3rd and 4th Armies when they were deployed to the front in 1941 and 1942.
