Some time ago I started colorize black&white photos, here is one of them.
I tried to be accurate regarding the uniform colors but if the colors are wrong, I can change them. Program used: Adobe Photoshop 7.0, work time: four hours. Regards! Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

I find today in the personal file ("memoriu" ) from Military Archives that my grandfather cpt. Traian Popteanu was squadron leader of Squadron 101 from Seaplane Flotila between 1.11.1943 - 4.04.1944. I know that in the same day ( 1.11.1943) cpt. c-dor Gheorghe Borcescu was appointed as C.O. of Seaplane Flotilla. |

Mr. Popteanu, I cannot see the photo in the link you had provided. I do not know if this is my problem, or everybody's problem. |

These files were declassified . I studied them yesterday at Military Archives from Pitesti . I observed that the important part of Jurnalul de Operatii al Flotilei de Hidroaviatie was published in the book " Hidroaviatia Romaniei " by Aurel Pentelescu , Cristian Craciunoiu and Jipa Rotaru. " Fisele zilnice de zbor " are in fact a sort of logbook for pilots and crews and are very interesting that if its are corroborated with other sources . I could identify the dates of the missions for my grandfather and the crew that flew with him. On 13 September 2012 when I was at Military Archives from Pitesti I saw in a "Repertoriu fond arhivistic Flotila Hidroaviatie " that are mentioned 2 archive units : Fond curent 142 - " Fise zilnice de zbor ale personalului navigant din escadrilele subordonate - ( 1.04.1941 -30.03.1942) - 334 file Fond curent 182 - " Fise zilnice de zbor ale ofiterilor naviganti (9.04.1942 -31.10.1942) - 399 file The clerks told me that these files must be declassified to be used for research. The same situation for " Jurnalul de Operatii al Flotilei de Hidroaviatie " that was partially published in the book " Hidroaviatia Romaniei " by Aurel Pentelescu , Cristian Craciunoiu and Jipa Rotaru in 1994. My questions are : Are these files studied by a researcher/historian until now ? Worth these files to be studied ? This post has been edited by Mihai Popteanu on July 02, 2013 08:46 am |

Mr. Denes do you heard about a german pilot Oberfeldwebel Latterieh Toni ? He apears mentioned in "Fise de zbor" in July 1942 with flight tests and reception flights . Most likely it is Heinkel 114 flight tests and reception flights. This post has been edited by Mihai Popteanu on July 02, 2013 07:36 pm |

Unfortunately not. However, I did not pay special attention to Rumanian seaplanes yet. Gen. Dénes P.S. Did you find any trace of the "enigmatic" Arado Ar 196 being actually flown by ARR in the Summer of 1944? This post has been edited by Dénes on July 03, 2013 05:21 am |

No I didn't find because" Jurnalul de Operatii" ended in June 1943 ( I understand that is just a copy , the original was taken by Soviets )and" Fise de zbor " in October 1942. |
