Indeed, good analysis and all, but before "throwing the stone", I have a question:
A country with the size, population, resources and even imperial tradition of Russia - well, doesn't that entitle to bigger ambitions? Too bad for us we're "next door", but... that's life! -------------------- M

Normally, I don't get caught on political stuff, but your posts about Putin and the West kind of tempted me to answer. Basically I agree with your ideas, though I live in the West and the West have failed as Putin may be failing in the future. Without the West yes Kadafi and Sadam may be still at power but wouldn't be more ideal for the West the other way around ? Such as making use of Sadam to lead his country and use him against the Iranians like in the long past ? Instead isn't that a mess what the US has left in Iraq and what they have created in their own country after wasting Trilions of $ in Iraq and Afghanistan ? How long do you think the Iraqi gov.will survive without the Yanks and until Iraq would be an other training camp for terorists against the west ? Yes Kadafi is out, but how long it will take until that will be just an other Islamic Republic against the West ? Howabout Egypt running out of control due major faults of CIA ? Isn't that the West created more of mess rather than something good and lasting ? Why we hitting again the 1929 type recession ? certainly not because of Madoff . Isn't that Hillary the least wanted politician in Washington and now McKaine too who used to be a good guy in the past are mixing themselves into Russian internal affairs and provoking the Russians rather than stick their nose into the disastrous situation their country is facing now since 1929 ? You don't have to agree, but the West really made it worse than better , and thanks to the West Russia and China are economically and politically on the rise. Yugit,
First, it isn't my article, is Cristian Negrea's, an author I read and I agree with many of his wiews, I like very much his novels (Cand armele vorbesc and Sange pe Nistru). Second, nobody says that USA are good and Russia is bad, in those days we cannot see the things in black and white, good or bad. USA makes many mistakes, and we must ask ourselves, is the world better after the invasion of Afghanistan or was better before that? About Irak, the same. What is important in this article is the attempt to restore the empire by Russians, there is no threat for USA, with its military potential, but is a threat for Russia's neighbors, and we will be in the first line. |

I have a coworker who boycott the Hungarian products since march 1990
Back to the topic the idea is not bad, but its implementation is difficult... also because the lack of unity among the Romanians! |

Not all the Romanians must boycott those products. It's enough a part, the informed one, to boycott, it is a hard blow for Nederlands interests in Romania, and this boicott is made by entire East Europe. |
