I cannot see the connection.

Germany, America, European Union and others clearly state that they want to preserve democracy in Romania. Right now, what is happenng in Romania is not democratic because that is not the will of the people. The guys who grabbed the power in Romania were not given a mandate by the people to be there. There should be early elections and people should be allowed to vote a properly elected parliament as soon as possible. But Ponta knows that he will not be elected. So, instead he appointed himself ruler and now he makes the rules. THAT is a dictator.

All other stuff is irrelevant.

QUOTE (ANDREAS @ August 12, 2012 12:39 pm)
Hoping something good from the Soviet troops in 1989 is not too far from hope something good from Germany of 2012. Both are dominant powers which have their own interests often different if not contrary in our history to our national ones! I said my point of view without the intention to deny the opposite or even to influence on someone else's! smile.gif

The whole political crisis should have ended on July 30. Instead, it is not only unnecessarily continuing but is also escalating dangerously. The question is who stands to gain from this. Romania's Western partners certainly don't since they want stability and predictability. Russia on the other hand, who made some tough statement about the missile shield, stands to gain most.

Let's stick to the topic. Current Romanian politics are not the issue here.

Reading Mr. Negrea analysis I see that his political opinions have an obvious influence on the perspective of the events, the equidistance rule being broken! Unfortunately here in Romania we encounter too often biased views, that are limited to those in the same camp with us, excluding the other compatriots! That's why we have the historical curse of disunity, in very few moments of our history we were actually united (december 1918, december 1989)!

I agree with Mr. Negrea's article and I'd like to add this one to it:

Mr. Cornea partisanship with the dismissed president is obvious (and well known for anyone who read his articles) so his biased views can not convince an interested reader. As in seeing the former opposition (current government) we can actually read Basescu's epithets (catalogings) as oligarchy and so on, his subsequent comments are not at all objective but reveals its partisan views! Would not be better for now one to post more objective analysis and perspectives than those of this type? We already know our personal opinions (views) and it's obviously that we will not going to change them anytime soon!

Nicolae Vacaroiu's presidency during the Basescu's suspension of 2007 was shorter.

Well, for one thing, I didn't know your oppinion regarding this issue - nor did I want to find them out on this military history forum!
And if "we" are not going to change our oppinions anytime soon, what's the use of reading articles or watching "Sinteza Zilei"? biggrin.gif

I'm not sure if you addressed only to Andreas or to all forumists but if not so then as a viewer of Sinteza zilei I invite you to explain what you mean! As long as you were not ridiculed by Andreas or mocked in some way I expect you to prove respect for any opinion, and to limit yourself to say that expressing a political opinion is not subject to discussion so it is off-topic! Please do so in order not to strain talks because I do not want to report you! Thanks!

Please, no political trash on this forum.

As for the so-called journalism of propaganda posts like Antena 3, you can post samples in the "Fun" thread in General discussion forum biggrin.gif
