just bought this foto lot of an waffen ss soldier named Georg Kraus. he was originary from Blaj.
he first served in Romanian Army, then he volunteer for ss. pictures show him in Romania(Buzau, Tecucel),France, Russia(Odessa and villages). enjoy the fotos georg kraus before the war in Tecucel...funny the back writting. "meine masina...." times were changing...Husi 1941 |

autumn 1942....he enrolls to Waffen SS. he is sent to "SS Pionierschulle Pikowitz" Sudettenland
these fotos i manage to scan them.... unfortunatelly one is in bad shape. it georg in the picture ...sent to his mutter. this is a double...only one is marked on the back "zum erinerung am meine kameraden aus Kronstadt und Hermanstadt"(Brasov&Sibiu) |

Mein auch! Transylvanian saxon (Siebenburger sachsisch) is more archaic and quite different from standard literary german (Hochdeutsch). It is very similar with Luxemburgisch. |
