Hello,
Romanian "Dutch" WW2 helmets can be found sometimes on eBay (check "ww2ro" and "dorobantul"). Otherwise, I don't know. Regards, Getu' |

How common were Romanian helmets wtih German paint? I read that these were probably used by Romanian troops stationed on the Hungarian border during WWII.

The liner band date is visible and it is dated 1943. The chinstrap and leather both appear to be German WWII period too based on comparisons with other unissued German equipment. It has that old unissued look in person.
I also just bought up a Romanian helmet with the King Carol II badge, and I'll post when I get it in the flesh. |
