In C. Midan's book, "Carol al II-lea şi teroarea istoriei", I've found a phrase I don't really understand.
When describing the partial mobilisation of march 1939 - after Germany and Hungary entered Slovakia - he says something interesting: "the orders number **** of the Romanian Army Command (Marele Stat-Major ) asked for the completion of 6-th and 7-th Army Corps as well as the units of border-guards and gendarmes because of the contingent's complement of the years 1936 and 1937 at certain specialties" Original: "datorită complementului de contingent din clasele 1936 şi 1937 ale anumitor specialităţi". What is that? Did they have too many people available from those years? -------------------- M

complement = roster => in this case there were not enough specialised personnel for specific tasks. hence, they need to raise more men.
