Romanian SU-76, SU-100 and ISU-152

The SU-100 tank destroyer must be the longest serving armored vehicle in the Romanian Army. The first units were received in 1950 and, as of 2010, the Military Balance mentions that 25 vehicles are still in use! The only other countries that still use this vehicle are, I think, Vietnam and Cuba (not sure about Cuba though).

The SU-76 must be in the second place (1950-1998 according to the description plates from MMN). 326 were in use in 1990.

All I know about the ISU-152 is that the Romanian Army received some vehicles after 1950 and the was a tactical missile (Luna, Scud or Frog, I don't remember) that used the chassis of this vehicle.

Any more info, pictures or exact numbers of these vehicles? I've found a picture of a Romanian SU-100 in a book (written by S.Zaloga), but it's rather blurry.

Some informations about these armored vehicles you can find in the topic "First supply of Soviet armour to Romanian army", from the Forum Chapter "The post-WW2 and recent military". From what I know the SU-76 light SPG enter to the troops in 1948 (the Armored Corps), and the SU-100 medium SPG only after 1952. The heavy soviet JSU-152 was received from SU after 1952, 20 SPG and 5 artillery tractors, and was organised in an SPG Regiment in the Ploiesti area. The missile launcher 8U218 was build on a modified chassis of JSU-152 and carried a 8K11 missile (Operative Tactical Missile System R-170) and was received by our army only after 1962 (8 launcher vehicles). The Luna 2K6 (short-range ballistic missile system) were based on a modified amphibious tank chassis PT-76, not a JSU-152.

At a first look there's a lot of info's and interesting images, an excellent book, I say. It helps me a lot in the documentation about the period 1950-1989 (I am interested about this particular period of time). Thanks again!

from december 1989 at Sibiu... But no markings on SU-100...
