La Hitte cannon in romanian army

The book Artileria romana in date si imagini says that in 1865 Romania bought from France a number of howitzer-guns (tunuri-obuzier) La Hitte sistem, caliber 121,3 mm, model 1858. The book says that this guns were nicknamed "The emperor's cannon" or "Napoleon cannon" (after Napoleon the IIIrd of France). This cannon were inspired from 1853 french cannon, simply just rifleing the barell of 1853 model.

In a google the net I found out that the 1853 smooth rifle barell model was named "emperor's gun", not the 1858 model, but the romanian book says that the 1858 model is "Napoleon cannon".

Which is the truth and who's wrong?

My "two cents" are on wikipedia's oppinion, but, given the fact you cannot correct the book, maybe we should correct wikipedia.

According to Istoria artileriei romane (Editura militara - 1977), the guns bought from France in 1865 are named model 1865. They were muzzle loading, rifled bore guns. The barrels were cast at the French Navy foundry, and the canons were assembled in Paris at the Alexis Codillot workshops. It was a 12-pounder gun, the barrel measured 2,066 mm, the caliber was 121.3 mm. The shell had two fins that helped in rotating along the axis. The gunpowder was named "M.C.30".

The same version is presented in Istoria militara a poporului roman, vol. IV, 1987. From the cannons imported in 1865, 12 (two batteries) were 121,3 rifled howitzers, identified in the book as "La Hitte-Napoleon III" model 1865, manufactured at Nantes, at the French Navy Arsenal.
