Interesting and scarce one, because it was awarded strictly to non-navigators! (without swords)

Between 14 November 1936 and 5 August 1938 the medal was named "Medalia Maritima" (The Navy Medal), hence the MM logo on the case shown by Denés. After 5 August 1938 the medal was named "Medalia Virtutea Maritima" (The Navy Virtue Medal).

Actually the swords were present only for the war badges. But you are still right as the badges for the ship crews ("personal navigant") had the medal surmounted by a crown. |
