The only Waffen SS unit I know that fought in the same are in 1941 and even colaborated with Romanian troops was the Liebstandarte.

Could be... could be not.
Anyway, they most probably have shared the same line of supplies goin on the road from Odessa, where the romanian Hq was located. Or maybe it was supplied by railway direcly from Germany? As you can see from the following map, The SS Wiking division was garisonned in the second front line, at Rostov, when the Stalingrad siege started. But, this is in the middle of the 42. So i must ask you, when this division arrived at the front? And from where? It was transfered maybe from the army group north? |
