I thought of opening this thread in order to post ARR-related photos that pop-up on EBay, most of these are never to be seen again after they are sold and it's a shame.

I am not a aviation specialist, but i like the photos. Thanks for sharing. Can anybody identify those planes and tell their story, if they have one? I love stories linked to this kind of photos.

A P 11 f with the Michael Cross painted over the asymetrically placed roundels... awsome! But is it in green or in cammo livery? |

And no Michael's Cross on the fuselage! The painting is in camouflage colours, for sure. But what colours, only the specialists can [attempt to] identify (e.g., a certain Dan Melinte, scholar and author). Gen. Dénes |

The crosses were not only assymetrical, but also of different sizes. This was a Polish fashion.
The plane seems to have been camouflaged in two colours at some stage and then repainted overall green, which later began to wash-away and fade showing the earlier camouflage underneath. Note also the pre-war squadron band on the fuselage showing through the paint. Quite an interesting plane. HTH Radu |
