Hi,

I'm currently working at a game (Close Combat III), actually, I try to modify it (Real Romanians mod) about the Romanian army involvement on the Eastern Front. Because it's about Romanian army, I want to replace the German voices with the Romanian ones. The problem is I have no idea about the reports or the orders in the Romanian army, like accomplishing a task or reaching a key position etc. (with some exceptions like "Sa traiti, permiteti sa raportez..." or "Aviatia inamica la orizont!" I know nothing about the specific language "jargon" in the Romanian army. So, does it exist a code, a specific language in the Romanian army, let's say a kind of "battle language"? Which is the The Communication troops language, what and how are they communicating through the radio transmitters? I suppose there are (were) some sorts of replies a bit standardized (briefs and precises) and the boys don't recite poetic descriptions at the radio transmitters after bloody asault smile.gif?. Can you suggest me a book, for this purpose? I have some movies about WW2 by Sergiu Nicolaescu, but I haven't found anything helpful there.

Regards

Browse through the old forum (http://www.network54.com/Forum/108085). I think there was a similar question there some years ago.

Some vebatim orders by the book (infantry training handbook -1940)

Machine gun:

"Mitraliera, directia la (salcia din fata, dela stana), obiectiv "patrula inamica", inaltator ..., deriva ... Foc de punct; "50 cartuse", "ochiti" -- INCEPETI"

When the firing elements have been already established, the order can be reduced to:
"Reper ... -- FOC", the gunner evaluating the type of fire and the quantity of ammunition used.

For ceasing the fire: Mitraliera, incetati

For resuming the fire: Mitraliera -- incepeti

Mortar

Commander: Directia ..., obiectiv ... , tambur ..., unghiu de tragere ..., ochiti, incarcatura ... (1, 2, ...), 3 obuze
Gunner: GATA
Commander: FOC
After the ordered number of shells has been fired, the gunner reports: TERMINAT TRAGEREA

For ceasing fire: Incetati tragerea

For resuming fire on the same objective: Incepeti -- TRAGEREA

Anti-tank gun

Car inamic la ... (se indica locul 800 m / sau carul din dreapta daca obiectivul se prezinta pe o linie de mai multe blindate), plus 3/00 sau 1/2 lungimi de car (corectia), obuz perforant
Depending of the importance of the objective (anti-tank, infantry support) the aimer may fire the gun without waiting for other command when he has the objective in the collimator of the sight.
Also the aimer may report: GATA
Commander: FOC
