I would appreciate any thorough information on the
following event dated Aug 3, 1944 : A Mousqito of an unknown air force most probably dispatched for Recon purposes from Poltawa airfield rather than from Italy ( probably belonging to 60 SAAF Recon Sqd) or VVS Lend & Lease aircraft in order to gather photos for the next day Ops Frantic straffing mission of the 15th AF 82nd and 52nd FG's. The Musquito was shot down near Mizil by Ltn.Hans Riedel of the JG 77. I would like to know any details about this case. Thank you |
