**Edit** Discovered info. This light is a prewar/early war French light- "Defense Passive". Civil Defense but very well may have been used by troops as well.
I picked up this French flashlight and I was unable to find anything about what model, era, or whether it is military or civilian issue. It has blue and red push up "lens" that are square, thin sheets of plastic (a bit thinner than the typical German types). The markings on the back are typical French patent registration marks- "Bte. S.C.D.G. Modele Depose" (Though the M in Modele looks like a C, it has to be an M). It is a medium brown color and best of all still works fine. It looks WW2 ish era but who knows? Anyone ever seen something like this? This post has been edited by Belwolf17 on August 09, 2011 03:30 am |
