Slovakia romanian plane part

Last weekend while at the Stary Tekov reenactment a Czech reenactor brought out a piece of a romanian WWII plane crashed there in 1945.

I would like if it's possible to ID the airplane that the cloth belongs to, it's obviously the romanian cockade found on the lower part of a wing. There are 2 layers of paint the original sky blue and a later light gray on top of witch is brush painted the romanian cockade. The fact that it's a piece of cloth with a piece of plywood still attached I imagine it's from a Romanian reconnaissance plane, maybe a IAR 37/38/39?

It appears to be from a DFS230 transport glider. Nice find!
The plywood part is the remains of the main wingspar that ran through the middle of the wing - no other aircraft used by the ARR featured such a spar.

Were were these gliders used?

I imagine paratroopers would use gliders but they did not take part in any fights after the summer of 1944.

Any photos of these gliders in romanian use?

Denes may know more about the use of DFS gliders in Czechoslovakia.

Yes, the DFS 230 gliders were used for supply and transport in Czechoslovakia (and not only). They were usually towed by I.A.R. 39s. The DFS 230-equipped Escadrila 109 transport cu planoare joined Corpul 1 aerian român in early 1945. During the so-called Czechoslovakian campaign, the unit logged 258 missions totalling 360 flying hours.

The only issue I have with this theory is that all photos I saw of the DFS 230s show them in what appears to be olive green over light blue livery. And this piece of fabric is light grey.

FYI.

This seems to be a piece of the wing underside. There seems to be a light blue colour underneath the grey. That may be the original colour as it came out of the factory, which was later covered with grey when they applied the new markings.
