This is nice to know.
I'm not sure how the Romanians "Captured" one of these tanks as the Whippet was a British tank and weren't the British and French supplying Romania in the First World War, considering Romania fought on the side of the Allies? |

It is for sure not a Romanian tank and the people around it are not Romanians. It is a tagging mistake done by the one who issued the photo.

@21 inf, there is no mistake, some of the people in the photo are Romanians who served with K.u.K. Infanterie Regiment Nr. 61 (38% romanians) from Timișoara, remember this topic?: http://6dorobanti.ro/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1331901440/3#3 The photo is from the personal collection of Feldkurat Ioan Getia, romanian Orthodox Christian chaplain of K.u.K. IR Nr. 61 between 1916-18.
Quote from here: http://kuk-ir61.net/unithistory.html ”AH forces underwent an extensive reorganization during the winter of 1917/18; the 61st was transferred to the 1st Infantry Division, then sent to the Western Front in the spring of 1918 as part of Etappenstelle West, where they remained for the duration of the war.” Photo source: http://www.banaterra.eu/romana/pr-ioan-ge%C8%9Bia |
