My apologies if this is already on forum: Romania was just about to receive FW 190 fighters. The aircraft were to be offer on 24th August 1944. But there was August 23rd before...
Do not know yet how many. Some Romanian pilots were in Germany to receive it. One of them was C.tin Rosman. |

For sure F-8 fighter-bomber version because ther were intended to replace the Hs 129 ( Grupul 8 asalt ) and Ju 87 ( Grupul 3 si 6 Stuka ) C-tin Rosman was a Ju 87 pilot. |

I agree. Rosman became a POW and return after the war. Died a little bit later in plane accident, I think.

Rosman died during an airshow in Bucharest. He performed a low altitude inverted flight with a Bucker Jungmeister over a lake ( Herastrau?) . Bazu Cantacuzino wanted to stop him to do that but was to late. Rosman was also known for some aerobatics with Ju 87 during the war. |

I saw a photo with a captured Fw-190 with Romanian soldiers posing near it (after August 23, 1944). That reminded me that a lot of captured German airplanes were taken by the Soviet guys from the Romanians.
So . . . Was any of the Fw-190 captured by Romanians after August 23, 1944 left to them for use in the Romanian Air Force ? |
