My Great Uncle was the Wireless operator/Air gunner on the Wellington BL-X, LN878 flying out of Foggia on the night of May7/8 1944 when it was shot down/crashed.
His name was Leslie John Carey 1298815, he lost a brother Daniel, who went down on the HMS Hood and another brother who was in the South Wales Borderers and served in Burma, this was Edward who was my Grandfather. Can anyone help me with some/any information of how my Great Uncle and his fellow crew members met their demise ? Thanks |

And below the link with the picture of his grave stone at Tancabesti cemetery. Indeed it is mentioned his brother lost on HMS Hood. http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=1883&st=45 |
