1/72 WW2 Romanian T-38's

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I was last here, but I thought I'd show you some finished pics of my Romanian T-38 light tanks.



A division of Romanian T-38 Light Tanks. Historically, these tanks were built in Czechslovakia, captured by Germany and then supplied to Romania. These tanks and the R-2's made up the bulk of the Romanian Army's tanks. The T-38 was better known as the Panzer T-38 - 37mm.



These tanks wears the full colour King Michael Cross and has a stat line of : 24/12 movement, D class armour, VMG hull mounted gun, AT class 5 / HE 6 points table 4 (or VMG) and costs 35 points.

I would really like to see a "fleet" of T 4's too...

Not quite in the budget for now, but it is one to work on.

I heard that Romania only ever had 11 of those and 11 of the T-3's, so it is possible to do that for me since the Revell tanks are sold as single units.

What would be amazing is a fleet of the FT-17's. I read that they had 76 of them, 48 were 37mm and 28 were machine guns. or maybe the other way around. However, that would entail 24 boxes of one style and 14 of the other! That's a lot!

You're welcome! And is would be a lot, indeed.

About the T 4, Romanians obtained 11 of those in Autumn 1942, but then al least 110 of them in late 1943-1944 (that endowment program of the Romanian army with German war materiel was named Olivenbaum, if I’m not mistaking).

However (as a piece of wishful thinking) I would love to see a full company of T 4’s charging, as they did in reality on the Moldavian front in 1944.

In some good twist of luck, I recieved 2 more T-3 candidates from my rapid-fire group. I have to build one and rebuild a second...but it will bring my forces up to 3.
