Hallo Gents,
For some reason the word "Romanian" has been shortened to "Roma" in the title!!!! I took this picture today, but did not get a chance to ask the owner what all the ribbons stand for. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Some of the 16? I recognise such as the:- Top row: Romanian 15 & 20 years military service medals Second row: All unknown Third Row: All Unknown Fourth Row: 1 - 2 - MONUC United Nations Observer Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. 3- ISAF Non Article 5 Medal. Hi Kevin
I can identify 2 of the ribbons for you from items in my collection. 2nd row, No. 1 (blue with broad yellow stripe) is the Emblema de Onoare a Armatei Romaniei (Emblem of Honour of the Army of Romania). 3rd row, No. 2 (green with 3 narrow yellow stripes) is the Medalia Stiinta Militara (Military Science Medal). This has 3 classes and the ribbon mini bars in my collection have thin horizontal red lines (1, 2 or 3) to denote class 1, 2 or 3. Hope this helps. If you can email me with info. as to how to post images nowadays I'll put some images on the forum. I used to be able to do this but something has changed over the years. Alan in Bradford |
