I would like to know and to have information (actions, pictures, names, people, etc.) about this unit. Please provide me with the names of the commanders (even of the companies, if is possible) and also with reference to the published books.

Please come with more info. In 1939, 11th batalion was part of Group 6 Mountain, in 3rd Brigade Mountain in Romanian Army. 3rd Brigade, until 1942, was in defence in Apuseni Mountains, against Hungary. Later, it was part of 3rd Mountain Division and fought in Caucasus and Crimeea.

Thank you very much for your answer.
In the mean time I did a lot of research and in the near future it is in my intention to come up with a book about the Cuban and Crimea operations. I do have a lot of: - officers names - operations where this unit, Batalionul 11 Vt.Munte, participate. They cross the Strait of Kerch on 23 august 1943. |
