Very nice! Is it a glued-on plastic model or a painted die cast (heavy plastic and metal) model? Either way, it turned out quite realistic.
What's the story behind it? Did Bazu ever fly this in wartime? Any kills attributed to this particular plane? Good job! |

MiG-3 was using the same engine as Ilyushin Il-2 / Штурмови́к - Šturmovík.
This was a problem, because Ilyushin Il-2 was in higher esteem as useful aircraft for the Red Army, thus always got priority in engine supplies. And this "Soviet" engine (Klimov M-100) was actually licensed from Hispano-Suiza (a copy of Hispano-Suiza 12Y). Klimov improved the engine into Klimov VK-105, but this product did not end inside MiG-3. |

Very nice work! Great looking model, indeed.
The article mentions: "Camuflajul era cel sovietic original, maron-verde." Why did you consider painting it in green overall? Just curious. Gen. Dénes |

Actually it was a mistake at the time, when it appeared article The Mig 3 was totally green. There have been misinterpreted some shadows in the pictures.
