This is a M.1930 aiguillettes tag carried by staff or guard officers of the Romanian army. There were several variants of these tags and usually they were made in brass.

My interpretation:
- a tag (for sure) from a romanian grave (?). The name from the tag: Gheorghe Popescu. No clue at all about the rank of this Gh. Popescu. "CTG 1942" means contingent 1942, that is the year this guy was drafted. "Prahova" is the county from were the guy was.
- a russian 15 kopeica, from 186... year kopeica being a subdivision of rubla. Q: still in use in 1940's?? Looks rather like a talisman, cos the hole made on it...
- the medal Cruciada impotriva comunismului (crusade against comunism), a very wide spread medal on the eastern front, given to romanian army.

I think the finder of these, and many other items is selling them on ebay US as ground-finds from Stalingrad.

That is what I mean when I said makes you wonder where these are found. Especially in Stalingrad. Have been issues with things coming out of Russia as not being legitimate ground-finds as we have seen on other forums and previous posts in the battlefield finds topic.

On the second tablet it is written in romanian:

"Post de unde scurte tip "..." " - short wave station type "..."
Generatorul de mana - hand generator

On the bottom side of the tablet it is written in english: Marconi's wireless telegraph...
