Headquarters in Oituz Pass, at the border between Romania and Austro-Hungary in 1917.
Commander: Bela Sorsich von Severin Can anyone help me with the structure of tiis unit in 1917? Is there any book abiout that time of the war? Thanks a lot! |

I am no expert in this area but checking in "Austro-Hungarian Infantry 1914-1918" by J.S. Lucas, Almark Publications, 1973, I found the following.
Page 55. The 70th Honved infantry Division, raised during October 1915, served on the Russian Front until its transfer to the Romanian theatre during 1917. In January 1918 it left the Balkan theatre for the Italian front. Page 100. One of the constituent parts of the Army of Isonzo and comprised 207 Brigade and 208 Brigade. Hope this helps in some small way. |
