Good day! Acquaintance of mine claims that these buttons unearthed the remains of a Romanian military man near Odessa. I've never seen such buttons among the Romanian ?! Possibly his uniform belonged to the Romanian officer during World War II? Metal buttons - brass, brown - possibly bakelite. The largest diameter of 25mm button (!). This can be a Romanian? Thanks in advance.

Tell him to report the remains of the soldier to the authorities so a proper investigation can be done.
Nobody will give you any info on the items found before we know for sure if the digging is legal or illegal.

If the remains are from a Romanian military ( sailor, soldier or officer) ask your friend to contact O.N.C.E. or the local authorities.

This person contacted, in his words, with the Romanian Consulate in Odessa - there said that Ukraine and Romania has no treaties the remains of dead soldiers, but take a dog tag. The Romanian government should initiate the process, but today sorry it is "deaf" ....

However, I have not heard an answer to my question !!!

Who is this friend of yours (name), where exactly is the digging (place), is the digging legal?

Where is the proof that the local authorities were informed?

Are there photos of this digging?

What happens with the items found in the graves?

Are they sold on ebay?

The man who gave me the buttons only my acquaintance, not a friend. You ask questions to which I can hardly answer - I am fond of the history of the Romanian army and I am glad to any gift, and you instead of trying to help me not to ask questions, "Address".
This'm sorry, I thought you were an expert in the Romanian army uniform ((((
To my knowledge, Romania does not hold any action on its soldiers who died in the war on the territory of Ukraine. Maybe I'm wrong?

The Romanian authorities have no problems with graves that are left undisturbed. What happens to the remains of these soldiers whose graves you desecrate?

Radu, what are you trying to blame me? I do not digger, I take a great interest in history and a collector of the Romanian army. I respect the memory of the fallen soldiers of any army, and I do not know graves of Romanian troops in the Odessa region.
I asked a specific question about the Romanian army uniform, I have not heard an answer and hear only the prosecution. What does it mean?

Rixard,
This is what you said: "To my knowledge, Romania does not hold any action on its soldiers who died in the war on the territory of Ukraine."

It was you who mentioned "soldiers who died". I only asked what happened to the remains of these "soldiers who died."

At least one is surely romanian made, I can read "Ancora - Galatz". From a sailor maybe. But if you have found a grave of a romanian soldier, please contact romanian authorities.

Lasati ostasii sa se odihneasca in pace! Onoare lor! Rusine celor care le strica somnul de veci.
