Hello Together,
in lack of a complete guide about uniform insignia worn by the Romanian Army during 1934-1941 i took a lot of written information from books and generated a guide of insignias mainly for the oficers uniforms. Some information is missing or i'm not sure if correct interpreted by myself. This pictures are marked with ???. I kindly asked those who have a indeep knowledgement about the uniforms and insignias of the period to help me correct and/or solve some misteries. Thanks for your help. Robert The PDF-file can be downloaded here: Romanian Army "Oficer uniform guide" Here some randomly pages: This post has been edited by Elvetian on June 25, 2015 12:53 pm |

Correct unit names Page 2:
Batalionul de Gardă al Palatului (after 1941 renamed Batalionul de Gardă Regală. (elite infantry unit) and Regimenul de Gardă Călare (1935-1948), before that, between 1908 and 1935 it was named Regimentul de Escortă Regală). (elite cavalry unit) |

Thank you Ionescu. I appreciate any informations and corrections. I'm sure there is still more to correct. Specially i would need additional informations with pictures or skizze about the insignias marked with ??? It's curious to me that for the Romanian army which had a very reasonable force of manpower is so less uniformology available. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks Robert |

Buna Elvetian,
For the insignia of the railway troops, found on the last page of branch and cap insignias, the cap emblem is identical to to that of railway engineers (Pionerii, Cai Ferata) except with the red backing matching the cap band instead of the engineer's black. Keep up the good work -Alexandru |
