Hallo,
I hope to find good information about the Skoda 30,5 cm mortars captured by the Romanian Army after WWI. As far as I have found out for the moment, it seems that Romanian army captured two pieces, in 1919 during the war against Hungary, a M11 and a M16, that now are on display in the Military Museum in Bucarest. Is this true and, overall, is this all? No other pieces fell into Romanian hands? Which units had them assigned between the wars? Were they used in WWII? How could be possible to obtain some pictures of the pieces on display in Bucarest? Is there a book that contains information on this topic? I am writing an article on skoda 305 and any help would be most valuable regards Enrico |

As far as I know, they weren't used at all by the Romanian army, being only considered prestige trophies. But other members might have additional info. |

thank you Agarici, it coincides with the info I gathered so far.
Can you confirm that they were only the two pieces captured in Hungary? Do you have by any chance any good picture of the pieces on display in Bucarest? |

Hi Enrico
here are some good photos of the examples in the Bucharest museum: https://www.flickr.com/photos/massimofoti/a...595717860/page3 the author, Massimo Foti is active on the landships forum, you can contact him there to ask for usage rights: http://landships.activeboard.com/t55444485...-guns-in-sofia/ I'll check the books I have to see if they mention the number of pieces captured, and post here later |

Thank you Vici,
are there books on the topic that can be consulted? Even in Romanian I can find my way around, provided I can find them somewhere... Enrico |

Enrico, you might want to take a look here (Chapter VII/Capitolul VII, dealing specifically with that topic) http://www.revista.forter.ro/_wsn/01_bibli...-si-imagini.pdf and (to a lesser extent) here http://www.revista.forter.ro/_wsn/01_bibli..._artileriei.pdf
