Today at "Cercul Militar Nationa" sala Bizantina,was a celebration of 15 years since the establishment of the War Vererans Asociation.

 Today Dobran found this photo in my car. He asked me if I know what is Bazu talking with Dan Scurtu.. "O fcorse I don't know,I wasn't there was my answer.-It hapened before Bazu was going back to Romania for a short vacantion. He asked Scurtu if me want's something.. Scurtu's answer was:"Dute-n p_ _ _ a matii,si sa nu te mai intorci..." Trans: Go f_ _k your mother and don't come back..." The photo was taken exactly when those words were said. I was sure they are talking about a dogfight or something. |

I heard from Dicezare that a statue of Bazu Cantacuzino was raised at a certain village not far from Buc,where he had a "mosie".
I'll let you know more in a few days. |

Some new story from Dobran;
"Around" 23.August .44,he asked another 109 pilot,Iosif Morariu to take him with a Fleet to his mother's farm near Bucharest. And so they did.After Dobran went down he asked Morariu to come and take him back in the afternoon. The night came and no sighn from him... What happened? Ioske ,insted of going back to Pipera,he landed in another village where lived a girl he knew... When starting the eangine (by turning the propelor),he couldn't make it into the pilot seat,and the plane started "chasing" the village people who were staring . He tryied to run after the plane but he wasn't quick enouht. After a while ,the plane who wasn't well balansed,started turning in short circles until he rolled and broke the upper wing in this procces. Since there were very uncertain days,Morariu wasn't punisched. |

I doubt it. It seems to be similar to the one I scanned from the cover of his diary for this article (http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/dobran/dobran.htm). And why would Dobran sign only for 1943-44?

I also don't believe it's Dobran signature. The original picture ( i have a copy) it's better quality than this one ( scanned from a book). Below are original Dobran signatures   |
