The family of 2nd Lt. Donald Germain MacDonell (11/10/1921)would like to visit (if it still exists) the POW camp where our father was interred during WW2. He was a bomber pilot shot down over the Ploiesti oil fields in 1944. Thank you in advance for any information you may have.
Sincerely,
Joan MacDonell

Hello Joan MacDonell,

You can visit the ex pow camp in Bucharest. It is a building on the street Sf. Ecaterina, now a "Ortodox Teologic Institut ". Do you Know in which month in 44, was taken POW ?
