I'd like to invite everyone to post their favorite WWII pics found on the internet.
In order to post the pictures, they need to be already present on a website. You will need to use the "Image" button and paste each picture's URL. Hopefully, we'll build a nice collection that's currently dispersed across various corners of the internet. And since we're using URL's to display each image, this won't take away any of this forum's storage space. title edited by admin |

Generally front line troops did not use Adrian model 1916 helmets. These were generally issued to second line troops, like AA gunners for example. But sometimes these troops also came under direct fire, so soldiers wearing them also could have seen batle. |

courtesy of www.redarmyonline.org this is one of the most famous pictures of the war. there are many legends about it and if you know any, please share. i have heard that they had to shoot the picture once again because the russian soldier had about 5 stolen watches on his flag hand and.....don`t know if this is true here is another one: |

Nice pics, Indrid. In the very first Stalingrad picture you posted, the large corner building in the background reminds me of the buildings built by Ceausescu around Unirii/Casa Poporului.....funny...
Dragos - In the last pic you posted, what tank model is that? |
