Some years ago I found in the attic of my grandparents house a sword exactly like the one in the first picture from this website, it is like the one on the left with the clean straight blade but mine is a little rustyer, does anyone have a clue about the age and origin of this sword?
It would be nice to know what piece of history I found biggrin.gif thank you wink.gif

I think you mean that "tesac". It is a pioneer's short sword, often also called "short artillery sword". It is austro-hungarian, model 1915.

I don't know if it's still available, but you can't use it as a metal detector, it's a toy. It only detects at maximum 1 or 2 cm. It's useless for outdoor use.

My question is;what kind of paper do i need to make this action legal and from which institut? How manny chance do i have to keep it?
Or it is better to let him to rust in peace... sad.gif

Any opinion or answer are welcome

Hy if you realy finded a panzer you are very, very lucky, you struck gold. First of all you must be sure uf you are digging or not on a privat teren and the fact that if it is a realy a tank out there you must be very careful that tit is posible to find live ammo and it is very dangerous you must call the guys from ISU. The best situation for you is if there is no ammo ore guns. Dig the tank out and make wary about keeping him later. biggrin.gif
It is posible to keep the tank but if you find guns, pistols, Mp-40 etc you need a gun permis in order to keep them even if the guns are not functionals. For the tank is not so hard to keep them you maight registre it as historic vehicle ( but the low ask you to desable the guns and cannon . )
But the most important is to keep the secret of location, don,t tell nowbody about what you find, dig the tank in the most secret posible way and transported in the most secret way biggrin.gif, if it is posible. If some gipses find the location it is posible the hole tank to desapeare in 2 seconds. If there is no ammo make the legal steps only afther the tank is in your backyard.
Goodluck.

Hi guys
I am a 19 years old boy from Onesti Bacau, i'm very interested of ww2.
My mom founded in the back yard of her parents a 7,62 romanian bullet from 1942 ( i'm sorry no photos) , i don't know how it got there because she told me there were no fights in the city, but there were fights at 16-18 km far.An uncle of her's was in war and disapered, he never came home and nobody knows what happened to him. I searched for local maps from the war but i didnt find one, i would really like to search for war relicvs, maybe there is someone on this forum nearby me and would like to take me on a research.

Welcome! biggrin.gif
Many of us want the same thing as yourself, but its hard to find out where the fighting took place esp, here in Romania. Maybe if you talked to old vets, you might have a chance.
Anyways good luck in your quest.
