QUOTE (Claudiu1988 @ October 17, 2009 06:51 pm)
Stalin was a dictator that killed his own people, he sent milions to the russian gulag. Hope he burns in hell biggrin.gif

Antonescu was a dictator, that he sent his army in winter on the river Don, where she died.
Why compare? In this war, all were equal. The war was not against Stalin and the Soviet Union prov. ph34r.gif

Half dogtags mean that you were disturbing graves.
Disturbing graves is a crime in Russia too. I really hope you get caught and pay for this.

Here we go again
First who said that half dogtahs means grave?
Especially when they are a lot of them in the same fist of dirt.
Let's recapitulate:
After "the battle",the dogtags are been broken in half.
One remains with de human remains, the other is generaly put into a box and taken to a place where all the proper paper work is done.
After that ,they are usualy get lost .
It's very posib. that when you find a intact dogtag, there are more chances to find human remains then when you find hundreds of dg's in the same place.

And second;Hummel maight have digging in his back yard looking for carots.

Yes the same problem again. Diging fot battlefield relics it's not a crime, honestly how many soldiers in ww2 got a decent buriel, most of them remained where they died, so now every battlefield is a grave? I don't think so.

If a person is an ass (donkey) he did not want to differentiate amongst.
How old are you?

Dogtags are broken in two when someone is buried. They are broken by the person carrying out the burial. They do not break by themselves.

If you are digging the battlefields, your garden, whatever, and you find human remains you must inform the authorities. Dogtags are means of identification of the remains.

All of you who defend this man, how can you be sure he IS NOT digging the graves? How do you know he is "just diging his garden"? How do you kow he is "just digging a battlefield"?

The burden of proof is on him to convince us he did not dig a grave a throw the bones away, because that is what this looks like.

Hummel, you want me to take you seriously? Show us something that does not make you look suspicious, let's say something that looks like "research" not like "grave robbing". Too many times you posted photos or videos of half dogtags. OK, maybe once you came across one by accident... But you seem to come across them over and over again, and not just one, but piles of them. Either you are terribly unlucky and keep coming across half dogtags, or you are digging graves. Who do you think you are fooling?

I do not dig your garden, I dug in a place where there was a tent city, there lived Romanians, namely 6 sapper Battaglia. They left behind a lot of rubbish.
you have a crazy idea, I do not need the bones, I'm not looking for them. I want to top with a metal detector, 5 - 10 -20 centimeters. I showed you that the tags are on the surface of the earth. Tags on this site broke the Russian soldiers. It was rubbish.

I do not care where you dig and why. But when you dig graves, that is imoral.
Half dogtags mean graves.
You MUST make every effort to send these dogtags to the relevant authorities, even if that means the Romanian authorities. Finding a half dogtag carries an immense responsibility. You do not seem to be able to comprehend that.

HALF DOGTAGS ARE NOT RUBBISH. Dogtags are part of the identity of a person, just like DNA or a fingerprint.

I think youy really have a problem, do you live in Romania???? they don't care about us, do you think they care about some soldier who died in ww2. And half dogtags don't mean graves, I told you but I think you don't get it, from your point of view all battlefields are graves? So it's better to leave them there in the ground to rust, to forget that soldier who died there.

I have in my family ww2 veterans, and I talked to them, they lost ther dogtags numerous times, because in a fight you don't give a...on a dogtag. If you don't like this tread please dont read it.

Hummel continue posting, don't read what he says, I think you are OK, if I had a metal detector, and battlefields I would do the same thing.
