I just found this on th web, I have a question for the experts, are any of these things true? There's so much conflicting information and some things that I've never heard before, and once again, different varying max speeds!
Let me know what you think! http://www.csd.uwo.ca/~pettypi/elevon/baug...ther/iar80.html |

The complete and corect story for IAR 80- 81 saga it's not enough an article on the web. For that reason I recomand you a book "Vanatorul IAR 80" by Dan Antoniu and George Cicos ( but written in romanian) and this year we hope that the same book ( improved version) will appear at an french editor TMA ( en langue francaise ) with nice pictures and color profiles. Perhaps Bernard will give you more informations about it.

I didn't read the whole article, but it's enough to check the sources the author used. Nothing substantial.
Indeed, we should wait until the Antoniu & Cicos book will be printed in France. |

from the lattest news of Mr Fernandez the book will be printed at the beggining of this spring. But one never knows, we have to wait...
In the last number 18 of Air Magazine a little article inspired from the french edition "Romanian Air Force in World War2" of the Romanian Potez 633 B2 &63-11. Also a small article about a French fighter (forgot the name) used by the Romanians at the beggining of ' 30. Yours, BM |
