Hai
The Koolhoven F.K.49 was a high wing two engined aeroplane. It was designed for the Dutch Air Force before WW2 and powered with 2 Gipsy Major engines. It was for photographig survey duties. Two more were build, one Finland ambulace with Hirth engines and one for Turkey, photographic Survey and Ranger engines. The Koolhoven factory, Rotterdam, was hit on May 10, 1940 during the first German aerial attack at the Airfield Waalhaven, Rotterdam, and complete destroyed. From litlle information found there was the informatiom that 2 more aeroplanes of that type were under construction. these were ordered by the Roumanian Government, further no more information. Who knows more about this contract, for with purpose were they build, ordered equipment, engines etc. Are there any documents left? Who can help me? Are there any more documents etc. concerning other aeroplanes offered by the Koolhoven factory? Each small detail is helpfull Thanks for your help. Jan enclosed a few pictures |
